A big welcome to all the new families joining the Pack this year!  Glad to have you with us.

Everyone, here's some additional information and a run down of what to expect in the near future regarding Popcorn:

Sept 17, 6:30pm - Pack Meeting at Glacier Edge School.
You'll learn all about the popcorn sale, which is our one huge fundraiser of the year.  Learn about the popcorn pick up procedures, how to obtain more popcorn to sell, and get some selling tips.  We've got some awesome new prize additions this year - drones, underwater cameras, telescopes, and remote control toy building kit, just to name a few.

In addition to door to door selling, scouts can sell popcorn through 'Show & Sell' which is selling at a booth.  Three locations this year - Millers Grocery, Copps (Maple Grove Drive), and Shopko (West side).  Those attending the Pack meeting, will have the first opportunity to sign up for Show & Sell.  You will get more information from your Den Leader, and you will have to provide your preferred selling times to your Den Leader, prior to the Pack meeting if at all possible to keep things moving along.

Sept 18:
After the Pack meeting, the Show & Sell will become available to those not at the Pack meeting, and empty slots can be acquired.  Watch for emails from Melissa Albright.

Hello Scouts and Parents!
Popcorn selling time is Here! For those of you that don't know, the only fundraiser the Cub Scouts have is the Great Popcorn Sale. Each Scout is given a specified amount of popcorn to sell and the proceeds help fund Pack activities. Additionally, Scouts can win prizes based on the amount of popcorn they sell. This is a big endeavor and is vitally important to the Pack. Please read the following information very carefully, and if you have questions you can email anyone on the popcorn committee or ask at the upcoming Pack meeting on September 17. Very important, please use the links at the bottom to print off order sheets (you will need these to sell popcorn). You can also print off donation receipts, order receipts and Scout business cards.

Scouts are to pick up their popcorn at Specialized Electric (1041 Thousand Oaks Trail, Verona, WI 53593) on Saturday morning, September 19. The schedule for pick up is as follows:
8:00am  Den 3
8:15am  Den 2

8:30am  Den 12
8:45am  Den 4
9:00am  Den 9
9:15am  Den 5
9:30am  Den 6
9:45am  New Tiger Den(s)
10:00am  Last call  (Scout orders not picked up will be sent to den leaders)
There will be information packets, order forms and envelopes and other selling helps distributed with the popcorn.

Again, in order to make everything go smoothly, please read the following information carefully and don't hesitate to ask questions.  Let's make this a great success and Have Fun!

2015 Verona Hometown Days Parade

Scouts (and their leaders- sorry no siblings or non leaders) are invited to march in the Verona Hometown Days Parade to take place on Sunday, June 7, 2015.    Verona Boy Scout Troop 349 will pull their trailer in front of the cub scouts.

Sunday, June 7

Parade Lineup/Scout Arrival: 10:30 to 11:30am

Lineup number:     20   (Class A Uniforms)
Meeting Time:  10:30 - 11:30 am on S. Nine Mound Rd
 location  20

Parade Start Time:  12:00 noon
Pick up your child at the end of the parade route, near (former Wildcat Lanes)  Sugar River United Methodist Church, around 1 pm.

Class A Uniforms Required with neckerchief and nice pants or shorts; closed toe sandals (e.g.Keens) or sturdy walking shoes  - no flip flops
- Sunscreen and/or hats
- All Leaders walking must be in uniform
- All Scouts walking must be in uniform

Getting Your Scout There:
The Legion St entry 20 located behind (former Wildcat Lanes) now the Sugar River United Methodist Church will be the best route to our line-up location on S. Nine Mound Rd. Plan to arrive between 10:30 -11:30am, as there will be closed roads and plenty of traffic to maneuver.   To avoid congestion, the parade staff has asked that children of youth organizations be dropped off at the church (former Wildcat Lanes) so parents can walk their children over or wait for volunteers who will also be on hand to assist youth groups over to the staging area.
Look for 20 and scout uniforms near the Legion St crossing on S. Nine Mound Rd. This is our line-up number/location. DO NOT ENTER BY THE PAOLI STREET AT S. MOUND ROAD  - this will be closed prior to the parade and is the main staging area.

Picking Up Your Scout Up:
Discuss plans for meeting your Scout after they finish marching and/or at the end of the parade. (The parade route ends near the former Wildcat Lanes - now the Methodist Church.) They will be looking for your at the end of the route. Provide them with a cell phone and/or number to reach you as a precaution. All scouts must meet/pick-up promptly after they complete marching (which will likely be before the parade actually ends).

Other Important Details:
Class A uniforms are required for all Scouts and Leaders marching. Consider the weather-undershirts for chill, rain gear, etc.  Skateboards, scooters, Healy's, etc. are NOT appropriate.

Restroom visits (limited availability) and snacks (it will be lunch time) should be planned around the parade schedule.   Bring your water bottles.  Water will be provided.

Parade maps, in addition to any parade cancellation notices, can be found at
