December Pack 549 Meeting

Time:  6:30 to 8:00pm

WEAR YOUR CLASSS "B" UNIFORM (t-shirt) for the sock wars.

Topic:  "Snow Ball"  Sock War.  Bring a package of new sweat socks (any size) and after the sock war, the socks are donated to charity.

Note: Bring large cardboard boxes to be used to make forts for the sock war.

Popcorn Update:  Receive popcorn prizes and patches.

Build a Turkey... out of your Leader!  Each den will be given a bag of supplies and we will see who can make the best looking turkey out of their leaders.

Please bring an unwrapped gift for a child age 6 mo - 12 yrs. No food or toy weapons please.

Fill the Verona Food Pantry!!

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the pantry.

Geology Outing at Devil's Lake!

Date:  Saturday, Nov 2, 2013
Place:  Devil's Lake
Time:  Meet at 12:45pm at  the North Shore Chateau at Devils Lake
Program:  1 - 4 pm

This program is for Wolf, Bear, and Webelo I and II.   Due to nature of the walk, this activity is not open to Tigers  or siblings.  Wolf and Bear will earn Geology Belt Loop and Pin and Webelo will earn Geology Belt Loop, Pin and Webelo Geology Merit Badge.


-  A State Park sticker is required for your vehicle or day fee must be paid to enter the park.
-  This walk is on the park trails so wear proper footwear and bring water containers.
-  Layers of warm clothing for cooler weather should be worn.  For colder weather, a layer of thermal clothing verus layers of plain cotton will keep you warmer.

Activity - Raingutter Regatta!

Please contact your Den leader right away to obtain a BSA Raingutter Regatta kit for your son to get started with his creative ship design in preparation for the July 18th race day!  It will take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours to prepare the boat- and added time if you want to paint it.

Dress the boys in casual class B t-shirts for an evening of outdoor Summer fun with sailboat racing, ice cream floats, patches and awards ribbons!

2013 Raingutter Regatta Rules

 

 

 

Come enjoy a fun outdoor Pack event by participating in the Rain gutter Regatta.   Make a sailboat from a kit provided by the Pack and "race" your boat in a rain gutter full of water by blowing on the sail through a straw. 

 

 

  Root beer floats for all to enjoy.
